The Power of One Small Step
In a quiet village, there lived a young man named Dara. He was full of dreams — he wanted to be successful, to make his parents proud, and to live a better life than the one he knew. But every time he tried to start, fear stopped him.
He often told himself, “I’ll begin tomorrow.”
Tomorrow came, and he found another excuse. The dreams stayed in his heart, but his life never changed.
One afternoon, Dara met his old teacher while walking by the rice fields. The teacher looked at him and smiled kindly.
“Dara,” he said, “do you know how a mountain is climbed?”
“No, teacher,” Dara replied softly.
“One small step at a time,” the teacher said. “People don’t fail because their dreams are too big. They fail because they never take the first step.”
That night, Dara couldn’t sleep. The words kept echoing in his mind. He realized he didn’t need to do everything at once — he just needed to begin.
So the next morning, instead of lying in bed, he woke up early and read a single page of a book. The next day, he read two. A week later, he was reading every morning.
Soon, he started learning new skills, saving a little money each week, and helping others. Each small step gave him more strength, and every little success pushed him forward.
Years passed. Dara became a teacher — not just in school, but in life. Whenever students asked him how he became successful, he smiled and said,
“Because one day, I stopped waiting for tomorrow.”
✨ Moral of the Story:
Great change doesn’t come from big leaps, but from small steps taken every single day. Every sunrise gives you a new chance to begin again — so take that step today.
