JR - ESL Teacher

Job Description 

• Plan and deliver interactive lessons that meet curriculum standards and student needs.

• Use a variety of teaching methods (TPR, group work, role play, multimedia, etc.) to support learning.

• Assess student progress through classwork, tests, and assignments.

• Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding performance and improvement areas.

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.

• Create a supportive classroom environment that fosters respect, participation, and confidence in using English.

• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and language abilities.

• Participate in school meetings, training, and professional development.

• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching methods and student outcomes.

• Uphold school policies, values, and code of conduct.

• Other assigned tasks. 

Job Requirement 

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Linguistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification (preferred/required by school policy).

• Previous experience teaching ESL to children or adults is an advantage.

• Strong command of English (both spoken and written).

• Ability to design creative and engaging lesson plans.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Culturally sensitive, patient, and enthusiastic about language learning.
